The Ellis Vulcan VRT+17 Vulcan+ Cable Cleats are manufactured by Ellis Patents from corrosion-resistant stainless steel for LV (Low Voltage), MV (Medium Voltage), and HV (High Voltage) power cable circuits. The compact cleat design is suitable for clamping industrial LV-HV power cables, including 11kV and 33kV cables, as per IEC61914 calculations.

Installation Instructions for Ellis Vulcan VRT+17 Vulcan+ Trefoil Cable Cleats

  1. Bolt the cleat to the support structure using either the single central or two outer fixing positions.
  2. Install the cables, removing the removable base pad if necessary for larger cables in the cleat's range.
  3. Remove the flange nut. Bend the two edges of the cleat around the cables until they are parallel. Locate the screw into the adjacent hole and replace the flange nut.
  4. Tighten the flange nut. Warning: Do not over-tighten the cable cleat. The liner should be in firm contact with the cable without causing the cable to bulge.
